The Oxford Cat Clinic have arranged to use the Medivet Emergency Service(Click for directions)
to provide out of hours care for our clients' cats. They are based at
Parkwood Veterinary Hospital, 62 Hensington Road, Woodstock, just off the A44,
approximately 15 minutes drive from our clinic.
Both the veterinary and human medical
fields are increasingly using dedicated emergency services, and we feel there are definite advantages for our clients:
In the case of an emergency please ring our normal clinic number. Outside of our normal opening hours the Medivet Emergency Service can be contacted on 01993 811355 (out of hours only)
From our surgery turn left (eastwards) towards Oxford, passing under the A34 flyover. At the traffic lights by MacDonalds turn left on to the A420, then at the Botley interchange roundabout take the third exit onto the A34 (Signposted M40, The Midlands). At the Peartree interchange turn off and take the first exit (Signposted A44, Evesham, Kidlington). At the next roundabout take the first exit onto the Woodstock road (Signposted A44, Evesham). Continue on the A44, going straight on at 4 roundabouts, travelling through Begbroke until you enter Woodstock. On entering Woodstock turn right into Hensington Road
Should you have to take your cat to the Medivet Emergency Service then the centre will carry out emergency treatment. You will be referred back to us for follow up treatment on the next working day or as appropriate. All the details of the treatment that has been carried out by Medivet Emergency Service will be faxed to us the morning after your visit. In the more serious case where your pet requires hospitalisation we can arrange for your cat to be transferred back to us or you can opt to have their treatment completed at the centre.
