Veterinary morning Receptionist - Marston Clinic (08.06.22)

Part-Time position 8am to 1.30pm Mon-Fri and some Saturdays

Are you the special person we have been hunting for? We seek someone to be the welcoming face and voice for our Marston clinic, greeting cats and clients on their journey with us. A desire to deliver a high level of client care and a friendly atmosphere in our practices is crucial. The training required means that we are looking for an individual who thinks this could be a long-term passion. Applicants should be able to empathise with clients and colleagues alike, but, most importantly, have a love for customer service and be confident working in a busy working environment and facing the public. 

The role includes general reception and admin duties such as answering the phone, dealing with queries and taking messages accurately, booking appointments, taking payments, replying to emails and supporting the clinical team in the smooth running of the Clinics. You need to be fast thinking, flexible, efficient, and resilient. No 2 days are never the same. If you like to work in a tick-box environment where your full list of tasks is completed each day this job is not for you. We need problem solvers who can think on their feet with a smile on their face! The position will best suit a proactive and enthusiastic individual able to prioritise and multitask under pressure, supported by their reception and wider team colleagues.

Work Experience:
Previous customer service and admin experience is essential i.e. relevant experience in either Veterinary, medical or other highly customer focused receptionist role. Good attitude, aptitude, punctuality and attendance will win through. We can teach you the details but not the mindset! We recognise the vital role receptionists play and that they are important members of our Clinics. We provide various training courses and opportunities to each member of our reception team. If you have the passion, we will help you grow.

Skills Needed:
Computer literacy and competency; numeracy; effective communication; multi-tasking and time-management skills; the ability to remain calm in a busy environment whilst dealing with emergencies; a passion for providing a high standard of client care.
